Locks, Bathrooms and Baby Pools

Lock—The Wells Branch Municipal Utility District (MUD) is asking us to please find the padlock from the front gate at Willow Bend Pool that went missing during the Red, White, and Blue meet. If you were at RWB, please ask all your swimmers if they have seen it. As crazy as it sounds, a few years ago, when it went missing, it was on a swimmer's door trying to keep his sisters out, so we wanted to ask before we had to purchase a new one.

Restrooms - We’ve received multiple requests from the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District (MUD) regarding the upkeep of the bathroom facilities at our pool. We kindly ask each family to remind their children of the importance of bathroom etiquette, specifically making sure to flush the toilets after use. For our younger swimmers who may need assistance, we encourage parents to help ensure that everything is left tidy and flushed properly. Thank you for your assistance.

Baby Pool - Many parents have reached out, expressing frustration about being unable to use the baby pool. Please know our top priority is the safety of all our swimmers. This year, we have more non-swimmers than in previous seasons. The MUD has raised concerns about using the baby pool while we have so many non-swimmers to ensure that parents can focus on their kids in the main pool.

At the start of the season, we often face challenges with staffing as some coaches are still finishing their college classes. Despite this, we've worked diligently over the past three weeks to pull in extra junior coaches and hire an additional assistant coach to support our non-swimmers. All our coaches and junior coaches are now on deck, and I am confident in our support levels. However, we need time for the MUD to observe and agree that it is safe for everyone to have the baby pool open.

Please understand that the baby pool's availability is never guaranteed in any season. We don't advertise it as a benefit; it is a privilege granted by the MUD. My primary focus is ensuring our registered Armada swimmers have the necessary support to be safe and successful this season.

Please note that calling the MUD to express concerns about the baby pool is only causing frustration on their end and will not expedite reopening the pool. We constantly communicate with the MUD and work closely with them to ensure all safety protocols are met.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a solution prioritizing safety for all our swimmers.
