Courtney, after taking a break from swimming for her senior year, is excited to be back at the pool. Courtney swam with the Armada team from the age of six until she was fifteen, and she junior coached for the team for one summer. She also swam on Texas Gold for nine years, and can’t wait to start her first summer coaching for the team.
Danielle is excited to be returning to Armada this year to coach. She swam with Armada for 10 years and coached for 3 years after. She took her first job as a nurse in Amarillo for 2 years, but couldn’t stay away from the pool and coached a school swim team while there. Now she is back in Austin working as a registered pediatric nurse at Dell Children’s Hospital. She can’t wait to see all of the familiar faces, and to meet new families this summer.
Amy's family joined WBA the year she was born in 1999 and then, when Amy was 5 years old, she started swimming, too. Amy has been swimming with the team for 12 years now and her favorite strokes are butterfly and backstroke. She has junior coached for three years and is very excited to be coaching for the team during this, her "age out year" of competing. Amy has been homeschooled her whole life and is currently taking dual credit classes at ACC, studying to become a Personal Fitness Trainer. She loves WBA and can't wait to see what this swim season holds.
Miranda swam with Armada since she was six years old. She junior coached for four summers and started coaching last season. She was captain of the swim team at McNeil High School, and has had experience teaching swim lessons with Brushy Creek M.U.D.
She loves to use her knowledge of the sport and of teaching in her coaching experience.
"Bethany swam on the Armada for 10 years and has coached several years since aging out. She is a traveling physical therapist assistant and is currently back in the Austin area for rehab from ACL reconstruction surgery. Her favorite hobbies include camping, hiking, drawing and traveling with her husband."
The Armada board is excited that she is volunteering her time to help the Armada swimmers.
