WBA - Practice needs
Hello Armada families,
Last week was a great first week of practice. The coaches loved getting to meet your kids and work with them in the pool. I loved seeing all those excited faces.
However, we have two areas that could use your help.
1. Please help your younger kids put their goggles on their heads and check that they will fit when lowered onto their eyes. Last week, our coaches were often helping a half-dozen kids or more adjust their goggles in each of the younger practices. This takes time from getting the kids practicing as we try to readjust all those goggles. If your child does not know how to adjust their goggles, please help them get them ready prior to practice.
2. Please remind our 7-8 year old swimmers, that they need to listen to the coaches. Last Thursday and then Friday, our 7-8-year-olds were overly excited. So much so, many were playing more and horsing around than listening. Please remind your kids to be respectful of the coaches and to listen during practice. We know they are excited, but if the kids don't listen, the coaches will have difficulty conducting an effective practice.
Your assistance in these two areas will really help smooth out our practices. Please reach out to any board member if you have questions. Thank you, and here is to another great week of practice.
