PARENT ORIENTATION
For New and Returning families

We're excited to invite families to our upcoming Parent Orientation to kick off an amazing summer season. Whether you're a seasoned swim team family or new to the group, this orientation will provide valuable insights into what’s new this year and how you can be an integral part of our community.

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Introduction to Changes: Learn about the latest updates and what to expect for the upcoming season.
  • Practice & Meet Insights: Get a clear understanding of how practices and meets are structured and how your child can make the most of their swim team experience.
  • Volunteering Opportunities: Explore the various ways you can contribute to the team’s success. Volunteering is not only immensely helpful but also a fun way to engage with the team and other parents.
  • Fundraising Initiatives: Discover new and rewarding ways to meet your fundraising goals and support our swimmers.

This is a perfect opportunity to ask questions, meet the board and our head coaches, meet other parents, and set your swimmer up for success. We rely on the wonderful collaboration between our coaches, swimmers, and you—our supportive parents—to make each season better than the last.

Staying In The Know

Communication will be done in several ways:

1. Weekly Armada Newsletter/ Meet Director Email: These two communications are your gold compass guiding you through the season to navigate the season like a pro. By reviewing these two crucial emails each week, you'll have everything you need at your fingertips.

  • a.The Armada Weekly Newsletter is your weekly briefing with upcoming dates, calendar of events, meet locations, times, and essential details
  • b.Meet Director email will provide the check-in times, pool address and maps, meet the theme, and specific meet requirements.

These are sent to the email addresses you specified when you registered. You may go online and change addresses anytime. Please add us to your contact list.

2. Mobile Alerts: To receive text alerts for important information such as canceled practices/meets, rain delays, meet registration sign-ups, and more team information, please download the SwimTopia mobile app. IMPORTANT: Ensure the option to receive alerts is turned on under your settings; otherwise, notifications will be sent to your registered email.

3. Website: wellsbranch.swimtopia.com. It is updated regularly; please check the home page throughout the season. You will find information links to the latest newsletters, records, weather notifications, upcoming events, and more.

4. Family File Boxes: After each swim meet, check your family file box. We recommend checking it 1x a week. Each family will have a folder arranged alphabetically by the family's last name. After each meet, any ribbons won will be placed in the swimmer's family folder. In addition, DQ slips and other items of interest can be found there. Family folders are in the clear boxes by the east baby pool entrance.

Make a Splash with Armada: Bring on the Sponsors!

Sponsorship/Fundraising Chair - Tricia Hughes

As we gear up for another exhilarating summer swim season, we're reaching out to our amazing community with a special invitation: Help us dive deeper by joining the Armada family as new sponsors!

Sponsors play a crucial role in enriching our team's experience. They provide essential support that helps us host unforgettable meets, offer top-notch coaching, and ensure our facilities are the best for our swimmers. Beyond the tangible benefits, sponsors help foster an invaluable sense of community and partnership.

Why Bring a Sponsor?

  • Empower Our Swimmers: Sponsorships directly benefit our team, providing resources for training, equipment, and events that make each season better than the last.
  • Strengthen Community Ties: Bringing local businesses and organizations into our fold creates lasting relationships that benefit not just our team but our wider community.

How Can You Help?

  • Identify Potential Sponsors: Consider the businesses and services you love in our community. Whether it's your go-to coffee shop, trusted auto mechanic, or a local entrepreneur, they could be potential sponsors looking for opportunities to give back and gain exposure.
  • Make the Connection: A personal introduction can make all the difference. Share your Armada experiences and explain why their support would be so meaningful.
  • Team Effort: Remember, you're not in this alone! Our sponsorship team is here to help with materials, information, and support every step of the way.

Perks for Sponsors

  • Visibility: Sponsors receive significant exposure to our community through meet signage, social media shout-outs, and more. Sponsors receive acknowledgment at all home swim meets, the swim-a-thon, and awards night. At each home event, about 300+ swimmers compete while their families cheer them on.
  • Engagement: Sponsoring Armada is a fantastic way for businesses to engage with local families and show their support for youth sports and wellness.
  • Gratitude: Our team knows the value of support; we ensure our sponsors feel appreciated and recognized for their contributions.

Let's make this season one for the record books by bringing new sponsors into the Armada family. Together, we can create a wave of support that lifts our swimmers to new heights!

Please contact our sponsorship coordinator, Tricia Hughes, for more information and materials to get started. Every connection counts, and together, we can achieve incredible things.

Here's to making a splash, both in and out of the pool!
