Greetings Armada Families! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Our first dual meet of the season was a huge success! The weather held steady for us this week, and not only were we able to complete the entire meet, but we finished about 45 minutes earlier than expected. Thank you to all of you that attended the meet and for working hard to make sure the meet stayed on track.
Please continue to check your kiddos bags for any extra items they might have accidentally picked up from the pits. Any extra items you might have acquired can be returned to the red Armada lost & found bin that we keep by the family file boxes, or turned into a board member at the pool. For those of you that are missing items, please regularly check the Armada lost & found bin as your items could turn up at any point.
This week’s meet is our first tri-meet of the season and we will be swimming against the Stingrays & the Tidal Waves. As a reminder, morning practices will start this Friday June 2nd ! Please check the website for the morning practice times. See y’all at the pool this week!

Armada - Stingrays - Tidal Waves - June 3 (Home)
Our first TRI-meet is this Saturday against the Stingrays the Tidal Waves. Each swimmer is allowed to enter up to three (3) individual events and notate if they are available for the freestyle and medley relays. Please arrive on time. Late arrival could result in your swimmer being scratched from their relay.
Scratch: Once we close the meet online, email email@example.com, or text to 512-659-1373 if you have to scratch.

Friendly reminder for our new families, for home meets, the parking lot adjacent to our pool is for our guest team. Additional parking will be along Sauls and Crissom next to the pool and the elementary school, and on the street on Long Vista. Please do NOT park along Bratton or in any of the parking lots for businesses you see along Bratton and Long Vista, as you will risk being towed. There will be overflow parking at the Rec Center on Shoreline Dr., but it is a small hike from there to the pool.
Please allow extra time to find a place to park and potentially walk a fair distance to the pool. You may also wish to drop swimmers off and then go find parking.

We need volunteers to serve on the scholarship committee. The scholarship documents state that a Board member or parent of a swimmer in their age-out year may not serve on the committee, which means everyone else can! To serve, you will need to be available to meet in late June to make a decision and communicate to the Board prior to the awards ceremony.
Please contact Brenda Pinkston if you are interested in serving on the committee or have any other questions about the WBA scholarships.
We are accepting donations of goods, services, or gift certificates. Do you own your own business? Are you crafty and have items that can be used for our annual Raffle? If so, please contact Soonee Wright (SooneeWright@austin.rr.com) as soon as possible. Our annual Swim-a-thon & Raffle will be held on Tuesday, June 13. The funds raised help keep our registration fees low and help us purchase much needed equipment. Raffle sales will continue until Awards Night where raffle winners will be announced on July 13th. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. Receipts can be provided. Thank you!
