Captain's Log

by Paul Wadehra, Meet Director

What an amazing performance by our team at Divisionals! I was truly gratified at the way we performed, and as well for the attitude and spirit shown by our swimmers and families. I am very proud to be a part of it.

This week we have a special practice schedule (see below). Enjoy the last week of practice, especially Magnificent Monday which is our "fun practice" day (see below), and, for those participating in Invitationals this Sunday (details below), good luck!

Coach's Corner

by Gina Zayas, Head Coach

To all our Armada swimmers I and all the coaches say, Awesome, Awesome Job!  You all should be very proud with how you swam Saturday at Divisionals.  265 Time Improvements!!!That is the most time improvements earned for the 2014 season.  Way to go!

The coaches have a few thank yous…

Swimmers, thank you for working so hard each day at practice, we very much enjoyed coaching you this season.  Just as you learned from us we learned from you.  I look forward to another amazing season next year and know that I will see many of you again.

Parents, thank you for everything you did for your swimmers and the coaches.  We were very appreciative of all the sweet, thoughtful gifts we received throughout the season.  Your help with meets and getting your swimmer to practice was very much recognized.

To the board we say thank you for the endless hours of work to prepare for the season and your continued support throughout.  We appreciate all you have done!

Keep on Swimming!

Coaches Gina, Danielle, Bethany, Tucker, Amy, Efaine, and Coe

Volunteer Spot

 by Nancy Brieger, Volunteer Coordinator

Hi Parents,

Well, we made it through the season! I hope your family had a GREAT time with Armada. We certainly enjoyed seeing all of you and watching the kids learn and grow, all while having fun!

I will not be serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for next season as I will no longer have swimmers on the team after 7 years. Wesley Freeman will have the honor of working with you as Volunteer Coordinator next season. I know he will do an excellent job.

Thank you for everything you did to make this a memorable experience! We will miss being a part of Armada, but hope to come and visit everyone next season.

WBA Warm Ups TBA

Seating

Swimmers will be down on the deck and parents will sit in the upper stands unless they are volunteering. Only official volunteers will be allowed on deck.

Your children will be escorted onto the deck area by coaches and pit parents.

The Meet

Girls and Boys swim in different pools. If you are seated in the stands, the girls will be on the right and the boys on the left.

Your swimmer can leave after they swim their event(s). A pit parent can escort them to the stairs if they are young.

Snacks and drinks

Please pack snacks and drinks for your swimmer to have during the meet.

There is a concession stand but it will be difficult for the swimmers to get to it and it is better if they stay in their pit area.

Swim-A-Thon Donations are now due. Although the deadline to be eligible for prizes is already past, please note that each family has committed to get donations of at least $50 per family.  This is our one fundraiser and helps us keep registration fees low, so please get your donations turned in as soon as possible, if you have not already.

Swimmers have received donation envelopes in their family folders. There are extra envelopes in the Board and Coaches box. You may give your donation envelope to a Board member at practice, or place in either the Swim-A-Thon turn in file or Marcynda's file in the Board and Coaches' box. Receipts are being written and placed in your family file.

Thank you to everyone for participating in this fundraiser!
